I wanted something straightforward without all the extra materials. The bamboo handle and natural bristles are exactly what I was looking for.

Before You Ask
Yes. Boar bristle is a natural protein fiber, cleaned and heat-treated during manufacturing, and it does not harbour bacteria the way a damp synthetic tuft does. Rinse the brush and stand it upright to dry, exactly as you would with any brush.
It is ethically sourced as a by-product, the same bristle that has been used in fine brushes for centuries. No animal is raised or harmed for these bristles.
It is the firmest brush we make, closer to a medium nylon brush than a soft one. If your gums are sensitive, bleed when you brush, or your gumline is receding, choose our horse bristle version instead, which is the softest.
That is the single most common complaint about bamboo brushes, and it is why this one is built differently. The handle is one solid piece of bamboo sealed with a non-toxic coating on the base, so it dries quickly instead of wicking water, and it stands upright on its own.
They are woven directly into the bamboo. Most brushes, including most eco bamboo ones, bond their tufts with synthetic adhesive that sits millimetres from your gums. There is no glue anywhere in this brush.
The handle and the bristles are, yes. Bamboo and natural hair both break down. Compost the handle or use it as a plant marker. There is no plastic component to separate out.
One to three months, the same as any brush. A box of four covers roughly a year for one person, or three months for a family of four, and the multi-box tiers bring the per-box price down.
